Errands Galore and Another Package for Sharon

It's Friday! That's a great day. It's the end of the work week for many people (mine ends on Saturdays), and for me, it's my other "day off" (until next week when I actually have to work for Chickie's vacation day). All told, I'm still happy. It's Friday, all's good.

You've got a second Priority Mail package on the way to
you, Sharon. I'm putting it into the mail today. Just a few
things I picked up for you earlier this year.

I'm sending another package out to my friend Sharon today (this is your warning, my dear friend). I picked up several items at the "Preview" to the MN State Fair that we attended over Memorial Day weekend. I was going to wait and give them to her when she arrives in September, but her suitcase is always fairly tight, so I thought sending them would be the better choice. So ... keep your eyes open for a second Priority Mail package, Sharon. It'll be mailed today.

I've gotten really good at making my Alkagizers, have it
down to approx one hour start to finish. But it doesn't take
much to push me into closer to 90 minutes. My blender gets
a thorough workout with them and my kitchen usually
looks like a bomb has gone off after everything is done.
Good thing I insist that the kitchen look like it never had
any activity by the time the day is ended.

I need to hit the grocery store for a serious shop, so I'd better do a quick inventory on what veggies I have and what I'll need to buy. I need to make at least four Alkagizers today. I thought I might have a live call scheduled for today, but I actually have a clear calendar. The call I wanted to join yesterday didn't work out for me, but fortunately the recording for the call is already up for viewing, so I'll make sure I watch it today. I also want to make sure I do another yoga session and another dance session.

Half Price Books, like most other businesses, was closed
for many services for months. They are accepting books for
recycling once again, and are open to the public once again
too. They open at 10:00 am and I plan on being there then.

I have two boxes of books/magazines in my trunk to take to Half Price Books. I'd like to get them there as soon as they open, and I'm hoping I won't actually have to stay and wait while they look through everything and tell me what, if anything, they'll offer for the printed materials. I need them out of my house. I'm happy to pass them on to other people, but I don't want to clog up my own recycling for them. Better to have Half Price do the recycling for me and if they offer me money ... so much the better.

This is NOT our collection. We don't have this many
(thank goodness). We do have several boxes, though,
and they will have to move back to the library area
until after Sharon leaves.

I'll be continuing to work on Sharon's room. Since DH has used her room as a staging room for the sports memorabilia and cards and part of our comics collection, I'll have to move those items back into the library for about six weeks. Then, if necessary, I can move them back into Sharon's room until he figures out what we're doing with them.

I'll need a shopping list today. I'm really bad about
forgetting a single item every time I'm at the store,
and I can't spare the time for a second trip over there
today (although walking over and back would be
a good way to get a few more steps in today).

So, again my day off looks like a very busy day. There are worse things, for sure. I'll make sure my earbuds are in my handbag just in case I need to hang out for Half Price. I'll listen to the call I missed yesterday - two birds ... one stone. LOL Have an excellent Friday and I'll be back tomorrow. Enjoy the waning days of the Olympics. It's been so much fun!
