Happy Valentine's Day to All - Computers, DH and Pictures

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you who read my blog - my friends and relatives scattered throughout the world. Is Valentine's Day celebrated in your part of the world? A feast of love and chocolate is what it's become in the USA. I'm not so sure the chocolate has followed the feast into other lands as well, though. DH has once again decided that the calendar doesn't work for him, so we'll be "celebrating" on Sunday instead. *sigh* He does this often - changing a holiday to be more "convenient" for him. I guess calendars were made for other people.

I'll be calling my Computer Guru today and arranging to bring my main computer over to him tomorrow. Hopefully the weather won't be horrid. Today and tomorrow are supposed to have a fair amount of rain, and with temps hovering around freezing for some of each day, ice is definitely a possibility. I'll need to be careful as I go to and from Dale's place and on my shopping trips tomorrow. Adding trips to Dale's will make my plan to do stuffed cabbage for my dinners a bit mor difficult, but I'll manage one way or another.

I'll need to figure out why photos weren't coming through into my DW posting yesterday. I really don't have a lot of time to experiment and practice, but I'll try to set some time at the shop aside to try a few things. Don't be surprised if there's a quick afternoon "test: run just to try a few things out. I'm not doing it to confuse you, my friends and readers, just to attempt to get my photos back and into my daily blog.

So today is a swim day, At least I've got something I'm looking forward to. It's one more holiday that isn't a holiday in my life and I have a lot of them. I'm going to work really hard at making today a really positive day. I need one of those in my life. Talking to Dale should help. He always seems to "get" me in one way or another, and if I can get my old computer to access Google once again, I'll get Dale started on building a new main computer for me. I think it's time to upgrade from Windows 7 - LOL. Have an excellent Tuesday and HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY to everyone (other than DH). I'll be back tomorrow. (I'm going to skip pictures today until I have time to figure out why they weren't coming through on DW. Sorry about that!)

March Was Meh - Just Sayin'

We're at that in-between time that drives me a little crazy. We're at the junction between winter and spring - today our temps drop back down into the 30's and we'll be shivering again, yesterday I was out and about just wearing my hoodie. It's back to the parka today because I don't like standing outside the gym door waiting for them to unlock while shivering.

If I lose weight because of shivering, I could
skip the elliptical today. Unfortunately, I'm
not that lucky.

It's also the last day of the month - a month that usually lives up to its "In like a lion, out like a lamb" moniker. It wasn't too bad for us weather-wise, but we had a lot of dreary, cloudy, rainy and snow threatening days. We did get Easter out of the way because it was an early Easter this year, but in general, March was a "meh" month.

It was a month that promised better things and I'm not really sure if March delivered. We started the month with temps in the low to upper 20's and we'll end it with temps in the low to upper 30's. We're supposed to be in the 40's to 50's by this time, but we're regressing instead. We had a trace of snow on the 1st of March but it's been raining over the past week instead, so at least we have no worries about the white stuff.

We filed our income taxes for the business and also received and filed our personal taxes. There's nothing fun about taxes - nothing! We didn't get a chance to go out and do anything or see any fun exhibits, although I did get to see Zootopia and we caught some things on the TV. But culturally, March was rather boring.

April showers bring May flowers - I'm
waiting for them. I want flowering trees,
blue skies and comfortable temperatures.

April is looking as if it will be more interesting, but months that start with promise can end in disappointment. We'll have to see how we do. I'm just hoping that April will be a better and more positive month than March has been. I really want some positive things to report and some beautiful things to look at. Happy Thursday, all!
