My Weekend is Filling Up Quickly

I want a day off. Not that I didn't have a day off on Thursday, but I'd so much rather have a day off today instead of working *sigh*. Oh well, I have no choice. I have to work today At least working will allow my computer to continue backing up without internet interference from me accessing data, videos and music. It will get the backup done faster. (I'll ignore the fact that I purchased several programs this morning that I had needed, thus increasing what needs to be backed up anyway...)

My DH spends far too much time playing LOTRO, but it is fun (if predictible) and
it is a joy to see the lands of Middle Earth and immerse myself in them.

I'm planning on immersing myself in some computer work, maybe do some yard work, and play Lord of the Rings Online. I haven't been able to play my characters for months because my old computer just couldn't keep up with the new updates and would stall out - usually when I was under attack. Can you say "dead character"? Yeah - it made playing rather frustrating. It got so bad that my DH has been playing my girls because he wanted to get their levels raised and his own characters were already at their max. I assume we'll play for several hours - he's missed the experience of playing with me. I would rather be beading...but sometimes domestic tranquility has a lot to recommend it :-)

Just look at this profile. The sprinters are looking at this today and
groaning. The climbers, on the other hand, are salivating. It's a wonderful route.

In Le Tour, today is our first serious mountain test with our first steps into the Pyrenees. In a 195 km ride from Castres to Ax 3 Domaines, the riders will end up at the top of a Cat 1 climb after having done an HC climb just before it. The sprinters will be hanging off the back just trying to make it over the line within the time zone and avoid elimination. Today the climbers take over, so look for Cantador to make his first moves

Lots of ups and downs on Sunday's course. It will be a fun one to watch.
I'll be debating whether I want to wake up super early to watch the stage or
just catch the beginning on the rebroadcast.

Sunday's stage is mountains to mountains to mountains. The 168.5 km course from Saint Girons to Barneres-de-Bigorre features one Cat 2 and four Cat 1 mountains. Even though the course ends on a downslope, the climbers will still be the stars of the stage and the sprinters will, once again, be hanging on to the tail to just survive the stage and return to the flatter lands next week. Enjoy!
