One of the best things has been loading new screen savers/wall papers. I chose several of my favorite pictures and set it to rotate through like a slide show. Call me happy with the little things... |
My Mozyhome is backing up my stuff like crazy. I started it pretty early on because I knew it would take days to get everything backed up again, and today I only have 65000 items still to be backed up. Yup - it will be days before everything is back up and ready for minor daily updates. But it's OK. This computer is a lot quieter and much cooler. I think I'm in love and just learning to live with the parts I may not like as much. It's just like any other love affair :-)
The new word is a bit boring and finding where they buried things like my "track changes" and the colors used for that was a hunt, but I'm starting to feel more comfortable with it now. |
I started to get used to my new version of Word by working on some beta work and starting my latest drabble. It will take a while to get used to the new headings and commands, but the basic functions of the program are the same as always and I just need to learn the new hoops that are set up for me to jump through. I haven't been brave enough to open my Xcel or Publisher programs yet. But I will.
Maybe after I get a new printer I might tear my old one apart. Then again, I'll probably just pay and get it recycled *sigh* |
My printer doesn't like my new system at all. That's a problem and I may have to buy a new printer to get decent business cards printed. Fortunately printers are inexpensive, but I hate to give up on things that are operational. Still, I've had this printer for many years. I'll waste $100 in ink cartridges, but there is nothing to be done. I'll keep using it for now and make up my mind later. Within a couple of weeks the choice will be taken away from me because I'll have to print more business cards, but I'll take the small amount of breathing space right now.
Two days of flat riding and sprinters chasing have led to today, a transitional and rolling state with two cat 2 climbs and one each of a cat 3 and a cat 4. We're heading towards the Pyrenees by the end of the week. Today's stage, Montpellier to Albi is 205.5 km with a downhill end that will give the sprinters another chance to shine. The peleton is hurting - we lost more riders yesterday in crashes and as a result of crashes from earlier days. I'm loving Le Tour this year so far. So fun! Have a great Friday, everyone!
