It's a VERY busy "day off", even if I have no oven, so don't need to bake chicken for dinner. I will, however, go to the store and see if I can buy a rotisserie chicken for dinner after I've finished my weekly chat with Aearwen.

I haven't bought one of Byerly's Rotisserie Chickens in a long time, but since I have no oven, it's a good alternative for our usual baked chicken breast. |
The State Fair is looking more and more ready for crowds. The first of the rouster trailers have arrived, the Midway is getting set up, the various vendors are brightening and cleaning their stands and the flowers have been hung from the fencing. The ticketing booths are once again set up, ready for business, the Midway Avenue entrance has been blocked off from traffic for the past two weeks, and all traffic must enter from the south, Como Avenue entrances, or the northern entrances. I've purchased our tickets and Blue Ribbon discount books, and Chickie has requested the 26th off so that she can attend the Fair on opening day - a tradition for the past few years for her.
Renaissance Festival starts on Saturday, and I think I'm safe in stating that our state is ... slowly ... returning to "normal", whatever that may be. We're all planning to wear masks when needed. I'm planning to attach a removable strap to my mask so that it can rest at my neck when I'm not wearing it, but be quickly pulled into position when entering buildings or wading into crowded areas (the areas around Sweet Martha's Cookies comes to immediate mind). My list of places to go today is growing, so even without a major grocery shop, I'll still be quite busy.
Here's hoping you have a wonderful, tremendous, and productive day filled with positive results and wonderful interactions. Have an excellent day and please, be kind and stay safe. I'll be back tomorrow.
