I'm Going to be Dragging Today and Cleaning Schedule Necessity *sigh*

I only made 1-3/4 miles on the treadmill this morning so I'm a little disappointed. But, I got to bed a bit later than usual, arguing with DH about Lord of the Rings Online. Although we had the Olympics on in the background, I didn't get a chance to see Simone Biles on the balance beam. That was fine, I didn't really need to see it. I'm glad she did well enough for a Bronze medal. DH is an Olympics addict, and he was watching Track & Field, which I also enjoy, although not outside of the Olympics.

I usually get about six hours of sleep a night. I've always
operated more on a six-hour schedule than an 8-hour
schedule. I'm aware that studies show 6-hours or less
of sleep a night can lead to an increased chance of
dementia and that's frightening, but I really don't have the
time to spend more in sleep. I do catch up a bit on my
Sunday mornings, but that's really my only day where
I do a longer sleep.

Because I missed my bedtime by a bit last night, I'm much more tired than usual today. I'll be dragging at the shop today, which usually is not a good thing. Fortunately I'll have VooDoo to keep me company - there's nothing like a computer to keep the mind engaged.

I'm not fond of scheduling. It hits a brain wall in my head
and makes me very uncomfortable. But I also need to make
sure that everything is done before Sharon arrives, so I may
have to break down and actually write things down, grabbing
small minutes to do A B C or D when I can. I'm always amazed
at how crowded my personal schedule really is - I'm never bored
because I'm always busy with a million different things.

Right now I'm overwhelmed with scheduling. I have a TON to do before Sharon arrives at the end of the month, a doctor's appointment starting my day out tomorrow, and so many things on my mental To-Do List that I should probably actually make it a physical list to keep myself on track. Add to that the fact that Chickie is taking two vacation days next week Friday and Saturday (which blows my "Friday Off" out of the water for next week) and my schedule is even more crunched. Yeah - a list might be a really good idea to keep me on track. If I can do something every day, I might be finished on time ... or not.

The one thing I'm keeping is my complete
set of 1969 LIFE Magazines. Actually, I'm
missing a single issue - Woodstock. I have every
other issue of that year, and it was quite the
year. Moon Landing, Charles Manson, I think
the My Lai Massacre charges were brought
in September, 1969. It was a momentous
year. I'm seriously thinking about buying
the Woodstock issue just to have the
complete set (I'm quite sure I read it to
pieces - LOL).

I'll continue on and do the best that I can. I have to get some boxes of magazines over to Half Price Books. I'll let them deal with it. I'll save the one year I want to save (although I might give those up one of these times too), but the rest can all go. I'm in a mood to toss everything into recycling and throw away a bunch of stuff. DH, on the other hand, is planning to bring a tower case and at least one other case home from the shop when we close. I'm already saying "No" because I don't want any more clutter in the house. He's getting really stubborn about it. We're going to have some problems over this one.

Oh well, on that less than optimistic note, I'm out of here for today. Have a wonderful Tuesday and I'll be back tomorrow.
