Goals and Dreams - Trying To Make Them Happen

We have two sets of flat print drawers at the shop. It's actually four sets, stacked two high, giving a total of ten deep but shallow drawers. They are designed for blueprints or, in our case, artwork. DH has wanted a set of print drawers since he was young, and he (apparently) has a space reserved for a set of the drawers to fit into our craft room. I have no idea where it will actually fit, but he's good with spatial arrangements so it's all on him.

We have two separate units of 10-drawer flat files that we use
for artwork at the shop. They are quite similar to this photo,
but with wooden drawer pulls and without the id card frame
at the right end of each drawer. DH wants one of the 10-drawer
units home in the craft room. It's going to be a challenge to
get cleared, switched and moved.

Apparently the set that works the best is the set in the main room of the shop - it has a lot of things on it, and it's going to be a PITA to get out. The basement set still is stuffed full of prints and posters, all of which need to be placed against cut mat board and shrink wrapped so that we can bring them upstairs to sell. I'll be starting work on this today during any slow times. It's a lot of stuff and it's not going to be easy to switch the drawers once the basement drawer set is empty. But, it's got to be done - no choice in the matter. So I'll start today and try to spend most of the day working downstairs instead of on the sales floor. Eventually the downstairs set will be upstairs and the upstairs set will be in my home.

They are fabulous drawers, very deep so that large
prints can be flat within their protection. They weren't
inexpensive to purchase, so it's probably worth the
effort, but Lord help us if we ever have to downsize
from our home here. I'd better die here and let my
executors curse me for eternity because of all the
crap we clutter our house with. *sigh*

I'm focused on this Owl Project now, and when I settle down after dinner, I'm grabbing needle and thread and trying to get a bit more added. I tend to do large projects that are time consuming, and I have a firm deadline of April-May for when submissions are accepted, so I actually don't have a lot of time. So far my life has consisted of dark blue - night sky colors. Eventually I'll be putting in more color and if it comes close to what's in my head, I'll be very happy with the end result. We'll see if my reality will meet my dream.

So that's my life right now - wake, exercise, work, bead, bed. It's not a bad way to live - LOL. Have an excellent Tuesday and I'll be back tomorrow. At least, that's the plan.
