The Never-Ending Winter Returns

It's May 1st and we're under a Winter Storm Watch beginning at 3:00 pm this afternoon. Even though the Twin Cities will more than likely only get rain, the possibility still exists for snow overnight because our temps will be cold enough to allow for the possibility. IT'S MAY!!! In my part of the world that's supposed to be solid Spring! Not an extension of winter. This truly is the winter that has overstayed its welcome. Time to turn the key and not allow entry until next year.

On the other hand, icky days like this are golden opportunities to allow myself to sit in front of my computer and work on projects. So I'm going to take advantage of lousy weather and work on a possible o-fic novel as well as look through pics I have been wanting to examine in detail. It's going to be a laundry and computer day after my morning errands. That's a tolerable schedule.

My laundry isn't this extreme - I do 3-4 loads every week. But there are
times when it looks this bad in my head...

I think I'll also update my iPod with some new music that I bought that I haven't uploaded yet, and I have to get a couple of audio books before my annual contract re-ups in a few days, so I guess I've got my schedule laid out for me. A nice long chat with Aearwen and prepping fruits and veggies for the next week while getting a nice dinner ready for cooking will round out the day.

I'll be slaving over a hot stove. Actually, with our weather, I may
actually be warm if I do such slaving - LOL.

Sound boring? Not to me. The opportunity to spend a day on personal projects...well it just doesn't get any better than this. Have a totally self-indulgent Wednesday and enjoy yourself.
