Cold & Goals & Lists Galore

Minnesota is a generous state, populated by hardy people who can tolerate dripping temps in the summer (it was hot and wet enough in July that my wallpaper came down from the living room wall) and frigid temps in the winter. Yesterday was frigid. The day before yesterday was frigid. Tomorrow will be frigid. But the best thing ever...? We're sharing our temps with the nation to our east and today the east coast is suffering through our cold temps today. The photo above is how I was bundled up yesterday for our cold temps. I post it here as a guide to all of you who may face these temps less frequently than we do. The coat and scarf are essential, the fox (or as my DH call it - my Ewok) hat is new since Christmas and I love it. The combination is warm and "fashionable". So follow my example - LOL.

Today I have to settle down and write, and write, and write. I have my LOTR Potluck story due on the 25th and it grew into something larger and then bogged down. Today I have to crack the whip. If I can get that one into a final edit position, then I can continue with my Bechdel Challenge piece which is due on the 31st and it probably about mid-way.

Cheapside in Victorian England...this will be fun!

I'm extremely happy with my artistic pairing for Big Bang. I know I'll have a ton of fun illustrating the twists and turns of my author. We've worked together before and had so much fun! It will be nice to concentrate on some art and get back to my novel for writing before B2ME hits hard in March. My time and focus has to pull back to my novel though because I really miss my characters and want them to progress.

Today is a day of lists. I've started putting my lists on my phone and it's handy in many ways. Today I have to get the shop turned on, go to the post office, type the W2 and W3 reports for the income taxes so that we can all file our taxes (they are due by the end of the month) and go to the grocer for salad and juice. I have to get all of this completed as quickly as possible because, quite frankly, I need to get writing and get my laundry done too because household errands wait for no-one.

So...I hope you have a productive Wednesday. I know I'll have a busy one and settling back to talk with Aearwen this afternoon will be a wonderful break in a frantic day.
