Weekend Scheduling

This is Post #550 of my blog.  As always, I am rather amazed that I continue to write this, and amazed as well that I have followers who read me regularly.  I hope I at least keep you entertained! 

My weekend would have been spent differently if I didn't have Comcast coming again on Sunday.  Yes...Comcast is coming back.  When they were here on Wednesday, they forgot to install an A/B switch so that we could record on our VCR on one channel while watching another.  They also didn't instruct me (and by extension my DH) on how to use the recording devices that we have on two of the TV sets.  Therefore, we have been unable to record anything for the past few days and that has my DH crabby (again - ).  So, I contacted Katherine.

Everyone should have a Katherine in their life.  Katherine is a long-time customer of mine who just happens to work for Comcast customer service and has worked for them for many years.  When I actually need answers and help, I call her directly and she manages to work things out for me.  She was able to add time to our Sunday afternoon appointment by scheduling "customer education" time.  So, we'll be "educated" and out systems will work properly.  It will, however, mean that we cannot attend Irish Fair this weekend.  It would have been really fun to go to the Festival and one of our favorite Irish musical groups are playing in the afternoon - The High Kings.  If you have a chance to hear them during their August tour of the US, go see them.  Or buy one of their two albums - they are wonderful.
