Gremlins and Le Tour

So, I got in touch with my computer nerd regarding my DH's non-functional computer and ran the CPU up to him yesterday morning.  He plugged it in to his test set-up and we tried to turn it on.  Nothing.  Then we tried again, and it turned on.  And we tried it again a dozen more times and it turned on.  He said that in times of high electrical activity (and we had MAJOR storms on Saturday night) on rare occasions the I/O on a computer can be messed up and unplugging it for a while (at least 10 minutes), then replugging and trying again will often self-resolve the problem.  It worked, and I got the interior cleaned out at the same time which was needed.  Then we loaded the CPU back into my car and I dropped it back by the house on my way to work.  At least all is working well now, and I didn't have to spend any money - all makes me happy!

Stage 16 is a BEAST!  Lots of great mountains to watch.  I wish I was there!!!

Yesterday's Le Tour de France was nuts.  These wonderful steep, narrow and crowded roads are SO fun!  So Andy Schleck made an agressive move towards the top of the last climb...and his chain slipped off his gears.  I've had that happen to me with not so good results.  For him, although he got the chain back on and booked some major speed/power to catch back up with Contador, he still lost the yellow by a small margin because Contador acted in an unsportsman-like manner and took advantage of Schleck's mechanical problem.  Schleck did a majorly great ride, though, to get caught back up as closely as he did.  And Thomas Voeckler won the stage - I've been fond of "Little Tommie Voeckler" since he had his 10 days in yellow several years ago.  He won the stage on the day of the 100th anniversary celebrating when the Pyrenees were first added to Le Tour.  It was perfect! Today we have a major mountainous stage.  Vive Le Tour de France!
