Charms and Computers - Challenges...

So yesterday I gave in to the inevitable and shelf-fired my charms.  That seems to have worked - at least the charms are sintered now.  I took them to the shop on Sunday to put into pickle while I checked the shop for water damage.  The shop appeared to have escaped our wild Saturday night weather unscathed.  Considering it was raining sheets of rain with high winds and tornadic activity, I was happy.  I took the charms out of the pickle, brushed them under soapy water, and put them under water for the night so that they wouldn't oxidize overnight until I could get back to them.  Now I need to tumble them and boil them in ammonia.  I brought ammonia and a glass pan to the shop - I have a hotplate there that I can use to boil them.  That, which I had originally thought I would do on Monday morning, has now been pushed off until Tuesday morning because....

Just a simple Start Button - but SO important.

Stage 15 of Le Tour de France.  Gotta LOVE those Pyrenees!

Last night, while I was waiting for my computer to power up, I decided I wanted to check something quickly and went to my DH's computer to do so.  I pushed the ON button - no response.  Tried again - same result.  I pulled the CPU away from the wall and checked the power cord.  Everything was attached and the power block was receiving power.  So, I will need to bring his computer up to my computer guru, Dale, and get his starter switch fixed .  That will cut into my Le Tour de France in the Pyrenees time and really doesn't make me very happy.  I would have called Dale last night, but I have two Dales in my cell phone and I'm not sure which one is him.  I need to look at his last invoice to make sure who I need to phone.  Then I'll have to drive WAY north and drop the computer off.  I won't be able to wait for this one, so that means I'll have to pick it up later in the week.  Wednesday would be ideal - it is the rider's next rest day.
