One More Piece of Paper

I need to fax one more piece of paper to my accountant before she has everything together for the IRS. She says, however, that the odds are good that the IRS won't even acknowledge that they received the paperwork; instead will keep on sending notices and finally drag us all into tax court to prove that the money was accurately withheld and reported. Once again, our tax dollars and incredibly stupid government at work! Personally, I hope that she is wrong, that they actually open the documentation that we supply, and that they acknowledge that they made the accusation in error. At least I was able to find all of the information easily. Now I just have to make sure that it all gets put away carefully so that I can find it again when they resume their claims - OY!
My friend Seth, fortunately, doesn't live near the location where the tornado hit over the weekend in Mississippi (my geography of the state isn't so good, so he sent me a marked Google map - Thanks!!). He sent me a quick Email yesterday to tell me that he and his family were OK. I really appreciated the news - I had been worried about him and his wife and mother (and assorted animals). He'll be in town for a short time with Carlos Santana at the end of June. I hope I'll be able to hook up with him for a dinner and drinks or a quick lunch or a breakfast or something. It's always a joy when I can see him for a few hours.
Today we continue our Beading For A Cure auction items with offerings by AJ Reardon (top) and Jennifer Kuhns (bottom). I've known AJ for many years now. She and her husband Chris live in Tucson, Arizona. She has grown into a very competent beader and interesting person over the years. Jennifer Kuhns is one of our sculptural beaders. Her specialty is free-formed peyote that forms a variety of figures. This year's sea dragon is already going high and is well worth it! I wish I had money to spare, I would be joining in the bidding for this one.
