I'm having too much fun playing. My studio days are so much fun, I just don't want them to end. Yesterday I got down and dirty. I have this wonderful box that I have lots of plans for, and I tackled it with my orbital sander, step one to refinishing it and making it into a Cinderella item - from the ashes to the palace kind of change. Of course I was wearing black, as I usually do, and I had the wonderful opportunity to wear my craft in the form of sawdust on top of my black for the afternoon and evening. But it was so worth it.
I also got the first schematics of the cover piece for my BFAC 2011 piece done. I just scanned in one element and then grabbed my Waycom tablet and started filling in the rest of the area. This is VERY preliminary, just a guideline, and it has a long way to go before I paint the silk and get to work with the beads. But I'm feeling very confident about the project and I think it will be much more fun than making yet another piece of jewelry (yawn...). The list I had was very long, and I crossed most items off it by the end of the day, so my Studio Day was absolutely wonderful. I can hardly wait until next week, but at least I can work on schematics and drawings for projects while I wait for next Wednesday. Happy April to everyone :-)
