Hello my fellow Peeps. After a somewhat relaxing Sunday, I went to bed at my usual time - 9:00 pm, with a 4:00 am wake-up alarm. And then I tossed and turned and tossed and turned. Shortly after Midnight I gave up on the sleep for a while and played coloring games on my cell phone until about 3:30 pm, then decided to try again, I pulled over the covers and actually managed to get 1-1/2 hours of sleep. Whoot! I'll be dragging today.

I tossed and turned and simply couldn't get to sleep at all last night. Finally, I managed to get about 1-1/2 hours of sleep. I'll be dragging by tonight. |
I start the day out at the Clinic for a followup on the lymph nodes swelling that I had been dealing with last week or a bit longer. On Friday everything looked great, the wound had finally healed, the bump had decreased dramatically, everything was looking good. But, on Sunday it had increased in size, was warm to the touch, and there was an undercurrent of pain when it was strongly depressed. *sigh* If this is infected again, I need to know and I need it drained. So, since I see Emily about this at 9:30 am today anyway, I'm going to be SURE to have her take a VERY careful look, and, if necessary, schedule me in for an ultrasound and liquid biopsy. The last biopsy said it was a staph infection, and those can blow out of proportion quite quickly.
After I finally get done with the clinic visit for the day, I'll head to the shop where I have 19 items that need to have forms filled out and emailed to an auction house in Santa Fe, NM. We're hoping to sell some of our personal collection items - things that we really don't have any room for or that we've supplanted with other items over the years. We're testing out this method in the hope that it will turn into something we can use regularly to move items into new ownership.
Chickie is helping to open the store today, since I'll be at the clinic. But, if I feel OK and they're not telling me that things are going down the drain (health-wise), then I'll send her home after I get the auction items sent on their way. She really needs and deserves some time off. My crazy schedule has impacted everyone in one way or another.
And, as a top off (a very GOOD top off), I ran into one of my fellow swimmers at the grocery store yesterday. What a delight. We exchanged hugs and a bit of chat, and she told me that her daughter is an oncologist, so if I had any specific questions and wanted a second opinion, she'd be happy to pass the info along. I doubt I'll take advantage of that ... I have a great care team, but it was very sweet of her to mention it. I miss my swim buddies SO much. So, I'm wrapping this up and starting a busy day in the Cities. Thank goodness the weather is staying beautiful - I would really hate to be dealing with snow and ice on my way to the clinic today. I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukrainin.
