It's a Busy Day Today - It'll Be Worse Tomorrow and The Start of the Pyrenees

I've got a story that HAS to be written today. Hopefully I'll have time at the shop to get it worked out, and I can polish it tonight and tomorrow (although tomorrow will be an extremely busy day because I have my eye doctor appointment and have to work for Chickie as soon as I can drive safely back to the shop). Tomorrow will be a bit of a hell day, so I'm just going to grit my teeth and get the story written today because I've had it perched in my head and it's been driving me a bit crazy. It wants to be released into the light and see whether it grows or wilts.

I hate leaving a story until this close to deadline. Sometimes
what I imagine will work well as a tale, wilts after actually
being put into words. I won't have a lot of extra time to massage
or alter the storyline with the deadline being tomorrow.

We have these small (VERY small) black beetle-like bugs that manage to sneak into the house in the summers. We call them "crackle" bugs because they have a hard carapace which crackles when you crunch them. We've been trying to figure out what they are for years now - checking Google through hundreds of beetle-like critters - but we've been unsuccessful. DH sprayed the foot of the exterior door entry to the garden yesterday morning, and hopefully we'll keep more of them from coming inside. I don't mind bugs in their exterior homes, but I have real problems sharing my interior home with them. I'm just not that keen on six-legged company (or eight legged, for that matter).

The closest thing we can find to what we call
"Scrunch" Bugs are carpet beetles, but those would
probably be around more often than just the summer
months. DH sprayed the door sill yesterday and I
didn't find any today that I could photograph for
the blog. So maybe we've evicted them for the
time being.

It's been hot and sticky here, so I've been using my mini A/C at night when I'm going to sleep. I guess Sunday night's minimal sleep paid off, because last night I was sleeping within 10 minutes of becoming prone. I was exhausted, and actually slept until my alarm went off. Of course that puts me into a time crunch, since it's a swimming day today, but that's OK. It was delightful to get a good night's sleep after the minimal sleep I had the night before.

Today is considered the first of three days in
the Pyrenees, although it's really Wednesday and
Thursday for the serious mountains there. Still,
if you enjoy watching the boys strive to get over
mountain peaks, the Pyrenees are always fun.
Here's the stage profile for today.

On that note, and knowing I have to get moving to be at the swimming pool on time, I'm calling it a day. I have the pool, I have my audio book, I have a nice hot day so that water will feel wonderful. All is good. Now if I can just get my story written for LJ Idol, things will be as close to perfection as possible - LOL. Have an excellent Tuesday and I'll be back tomorrow for a VERY busy day.
