It's Friday, so it's a "day off" for me. I have a multi-page master list I've been working on for more than a week that I need to print out on my home printer today, and I have to drop by the shop first thing today to write the paychecks I forgot to write yesterday, and get the information for the state tax payment that I need to do today as well. That was totally my "oops". I did most of what I had on my agenda yesterday, but completely forgot these two things and they're pretty important. On my way to Whole Foods today, I'll make sure to hit the shop first and get these two things taken care of.
When I arrived home yesterday, there was a package for me in the mail. Opening it up, I saw it was a Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup Champions v-neck t-shirt from my hockey friend in Nebraska. It's fabulous! I'm wearing it today. (I know Sharon has also bought me one, and I'll be wearing that one too as soon as I get it.) I'll be set until the next time one of my teams pulls out a miracle or two - LOL. So serious "Thank You" to Mary for the hockey gifts. You've totally made my week and my month and my year beyond special.
I spent almost half an hour looking for a specific dusting cloth that I love on Amazon. Finally remembering exactly what brand it was, I searched again and found it. It's EXPENSIVE! But, one cloth can go a LONG way, so I broke down and added it to my Amazon shopping cart. I also need to add a glue that will work on my dragons - some of them need some repair and I want something that will bond plastic to plastic easily and quickly. The dragons were a fairly early McFarlane product. Their products have improved in later years, but I'm uninterested in super heroes. I think I have all of the dragons, though, and some of them need some Tender Loving Care.
It's going to be a pretty comfortable day, so hopefully, after I get my errands done, I can spend a bit of time in the garden. Maybe I'll see a hummingbird or two. For those of you who know me well, yes, of COURSE I've been watching Le Tour de France - every day. I'm not flooding you with stage maps and daily updates, but I've got it on Peacock every day and I'm cheering on the boys as they tackle the flats and mountains. Yesterday was the second day in the Alps and the finish was the top of Alpe d'Huez! It was an amazing run to watch and it's been a totally fabulous Tour so far. I loaded Peacock onto DH's tablet and he's been happily watching Le Tour from it as well (and finding lots of other things to watch too). I think he likes his new tablet - LOL. Now we're heading towards the Pyrenees. Yippee!
I got my first strike in LJ Idol from my America entry. It was a good entry and a lot of people had positive comments, but I didn't get enough votes to pull me out of the bottom tier. That's OK, I still have two strikes to go, and I'm still the new kid on the block. I'm having fun working within the group and writing once again, and really that's all that's important. Have a wonderful Friday and I'll be back tomorrow.
