Reading through my emails this morning, after a night where I couldn't sleep well and gave up at 2:30 am, I saw that I have a live coaching call with the Head Coach scheduled for 7:00 am PST (5:00 am my time). Since that's in a little more than 20 minutes, I'll actually be able to make it. If I had actually slept until my alarm went off at 3:30 am, I would totally have missed it.
However, that coaching call also means today's post will be truncated. SH and I had a nice Saturday night, and early Sunday morning things seemed OK, but things soured in mid-afternoon and by evening he was back to his stony, not-talking routine. It's getting old and I'm getting tired. I get that he doesn't like my nutrition plan, but it's only a three month plan, then I can carefully let some things back into my life, just very cautiously and paying very close attention to what my body tells me. But I guess that's not good enough. It's what he's getting, though.

Meanwhile, I'm trying out new recipes - the Vegetable, Tomato, Spaghetti Squash recipe was OK, but nothing to write home about. I really loved the spaghetti squash, but adding it to the other veggies and the oil just ruined it. I'll make a spaghetti squash again, but use a different recipe. The zucchini tomato bake, however, turned out very tasty. I had to increase the cooking time dramatically to cook to zucchini to my tastes, but it's perfect now. That'll be dinner tonight, and maybe tomorrow night too.

I put the Vegetable Zucchini bake back into the oven for another 30+ minutes yesterday and I'm much happier with the zucchini now. It's very tasty. |
I might break down and order a temperature controlled dehumidifier from Amazon. I can get one I like for under $100. I want to start making my own jerky - I do have a couple of brands that I can buy which are excellent, but I've always wanted to try my own. So ... why not? I have a dehumidifier, but not one that's temperature controlled. With food, you really can't take chances.
