Project Runway Tomorrow, General Chat Today

The photos from last night's Project Runway creations aren't on-line to share with all of you yet, so I'm going to be delayed by a day. Not really a bad thing, because it was an episode filled with drama and psychology and lots of angst, so if you haven't yet seen it, you've got a chance to catch up with it today before I plug in the Runway outfits tomorrow. I will say this much - I totally agree with the judges about who won this week, as well as who was sent home. I had it pegged. But for once, the real meat of the show was what happened between the assignment and the judging.

Christian Siriano really shines in the current episode of
Project Runway. He delivers some point-on commentary to
Victoria - words she really needs to hear. It's almost a
classic Tim Gunn moment, but with a bit more sass.

DH is busy trying to find a set of eyeglasses on-line that he likes. He desperately needs a new pair, so I set him loose on Zenni's website. I have never ordered from that company before, but I have friends who have and who were very pleased. All I know for a fact is that DH's glasses need to be replaced, we have an up-to-date prescription, and Zenni is very affordable. 'Nuff said! LOL

Zenni Optical's website is huge, and their choices are
varied and range widely in price. It's one of those
sites I love to window shop at, but since the glasses
I wear are one-of-a-kind custom frames, I have my
frames re-lensed instead. I'm getting my eyes examined
in February and will get a new prescription to work
with at that time.

It's a huge website, however, and things once found can very easily be lost once again. I had told him I would work with him and the website on Friday night, but he took it into his head to attempt it on his own yesterday night. *sigh* He really knows better than to get me sucked down a rabbit hole like Zenni on a Project Runway night. Just sayin'.

There's something about a day of football that
seems to call for high-calorie food. I can totally
understand that for the players - lots of calories
being used on the playing field.. The need for
spectator calories? Not as much!

DH went to the store yesterday - Target and the grocery store - and picked up whatever we needed for our Superbowl Sunday food. Although he has run his menu by me several times, I honestly can't remember what we're going to eat. Food - that's a given. But I don't really care all that much about what specific kind of food. I'm sure it will be tasty, high in carbs, and fattening.

The indoor running track at my YMCA is similar to this - the upper rim over
the basketball court. I don't have the higher ceiling, and the corners on my
track are elevated, but it's still multiple revolutions for a mile. On my track,
fifteen laps equals a mile, so I do 30 laps on track days. It gets really
boring, so thank goodness for audio books. Listening to some of my
favorite books pulls me through the monotony.

So I'm going to plug some pictures into this and settle into my day. It's a floor exercises and two mile run day, and those are boring, but I have to do it. I won't be able to live with myself if I don't get this holiday weight off eventually. If I have to be bored, at least my body is at a stasis - I'm not losing, but I'm not gaining either.

Have a great Friday, enjoy your last day of January, and be kind. I'll be back tomorrow.
