Hoping For A Smooth But Busy Day

Let's see how quickly I can put a post together, shall we? I'm just running late today - no particular reason - but it's going to be one of those days. The printer is sitting in the living room - that will be installed and operational by the end of the day.

I ended up purchasing an Epson WF-4720 for our
new printer. It was a close race between two
different models, but this one seemed slightly
better suited for our needs.

I'm waiting on a code from the Social Security Administration so that I can use their app to file my W3 and W2 forms for the shop - still don't have the damned code and I'm running out of January. I need to phone them today and see what I can do to expedite the situation.

I hate dealing with tax forms. As an employer I have to
provide each paid employee with a W2 form for their
taxes. The problem is there is no way to hand-type these
any more (electric typewriters don't have the strength
to type through that many pages and no errors
are permitted). I can use the government website, because
I'm a small business, but there are a LOT of fences to
jump over.

It's a standard "day off" which means five loads of laundry, grocery shopping, trash pickup, and today is also recycling day. I have the buckets ready to pull out to the curb, so not a big deal, but it is one more thing for a crowded day.

Among the many characters famous in our Winter Carnival, is
Klondike Kate. This popular singer and entertainer is chosen
anew from a stiff competition and will appear in more than
100 events throughout the year. Singing funny and bawdy
songs, she embodies the fun of Winter Carnival here in the Land
of Ice and Snow.

The Twin Cities are gearing up and getting ready to host the Super Bowl in less than two weeks. At the same time, St Paul's Winter Carnival will be going on. Of the two, although I'll watch the game on TV, I'll have more fun with the Carnival. It's got a LONG history, having started in 1886.

We don't always have an Ice Palace for Winter Carnival. Some years
are too warm, and sometimes the funds just aren't available. This one
was built in 1986 for the 100th anniversary of the Winter Carnival
and was the first to feature computerized lighting. It stood 128 feet
tall and used more than 10,000 blocks of ice.

I've been trying to find and eliminate duplicate files on my computer - disc space is getting low on one of my hard drives. When I run an app to find the files, it's coming up with more than 13,000 duplicate files, and of course each one has to be deleted one-at-a-time. VERY slow process.

So my wheels are spinning on the ice of daily life right now. Bleh! I hope your Wednesday goes well and that mine goes smoothly in all of its different aspects.
