The Terrible Foursome - Chickie, DH, me and Sharon at Ren over the past weekend. |
This first pic is of the four of us, standing as a group outside the Pavillion where the performance had just let out. From left to right: Chickie, DH, me and Sharon. Sharon can often be recognized by her wearing the color red - it's her favorite color. DH and I are just looking more and more grey as time goes on. But, nothing we can do about it. We're getting older and that's how it goes.
Not sure what DH is eating, but it's bound to be sweet and have too many calories. |
This second photo had me laughing a bit. It's Chickie and a surprised DH caught totally off-guard. I'm not sure what he was eating - something with too many calories and too sweet, probably.
Here are some of the contestants for the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" contest. Sharon is at the extreme right in her "Twelve Days of Christmas" sweater. |
That Labor Day Monday was also "Christmas in September" featuring Father and Mother Christmas wandering the Ren Fest grounds and, of course, an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" contest. Sharon packed carefully, from what apparently is a closet full of fugly sweaters. Here are some of the contestants in line, with Sharon on the right side in her "Twelve Days of Christmas" sweater.
Sharon won for her "Twelve Days of Christmas" sweater. Now that she's an experienced contestant, she'll have a better idea of what sweater to choose for next year. |
And, since she brought her own cheering section along with her, she won one of the prizes. Actually, it was quite nice with several gift cards and various other things that will even apply back home in Denver. She won for "Nicest Sweater". There were also prizes for "Child's Sweater", "Naughtiest Sweater", and other categories. I think there were eight or nine total prize categories.
I couldn't resist purchasing this one bone pin. I'm not usually much for political statements, but it was so perfect, I just had to have it. I have pinned it to my "Inspiration" board and see it every day at work. And so, on that note, I'm running late and have a drive to the Chiropractor ahead of me today. Have a wonderful Monday and I'll be back to bother all of you tomorrow.
