Revised Day Off - Yippee for Laundry

So instead of Wednesday I ended up getting today off instead. It's been a long time since I've had a Friday off - I'm not quite sure how to attack it, but I'll enjoy it. I'm wearing my last clean bra, my laundry hamper is quite full and my house needs it's usual weekly clean, so yes - I need my day off. Need it! But I'm still trying to get the State Fair weight off, so I can't indulge in a really nice lunch as I sometimes will let myself have on my usual Wednesday off. But errands, housecleaning, maybe even some writing...yes...I can see that I will enjoy my day off.

Since I'm hoping to get some writing done today, I thought I'd start
out with an example of ancient writing. We can't just read this like our
shopping lists, but they are gorgeous to look at.

So, since I'll be out and about today, I'm celebrating with some eclectic photos for you today - just a little this and that as my thoughts pull me through photos.

It's going to be hot and dry today, so I'm having fond thoughts
of rain to cool down. That's not going to happen, though.

When Minnesota passed Gay Marriage, the I-35 bridge was lighted
in Rainbow Colors to celebrate the occasion.

And speaking of bridges, the natural arches of Arches National Park in Utah
are exceptionally beautiful.

So, I hope on this Friday, that I've given you a bit of beauty to make your day move just that much better. Maybe I'll treat myself to a new bowstring and start making a new quiver for my inherited arrows...or not. I have beadwork projects pending, sewing projects waiting, and boxes of things to find new homes for. But have a marvelous Friday!
