Triple Overtime? The Cup is Killing Me!

Boston was doing great and then Chicago went on a tear in the third period tying the game up and pushing it into overtime. At that point I gave up and went to sleep - I was due to get up in a little more than five hours. But DH continued to watch and this morning on the news they were all over the fact that the game went into TRIPLE OVERTIME! This is going to be one of the more hard-fought Stanley Cups in history if they continue at this pace and intensity. Game Two is scheduled for Saturday and I'll be watching.

Game One - Chicago (Red) vs Boston (White). Chicago won 4 to 3 in
triple overtime. What a game!

Yesterday was rainy and gloomy. Originally we were supposed to have had fairly nice temps but someone forgot to inform the weather fairies. We had rain, funnel clouds south of us, and cool temps. It actually was a good day to get indoor work done, and since I ended up doing more than six loads of laundry by the end of the day, that's just as well. I was totally fried by night-time.

Too much laundry can fry a person's brain. I am the poster child...

Sometimes my desire to put things away properly get in my way. I spent more than two hours hunting for my secondary credit cards. These were cards I use for my business and that I didn't take on vacation with me. But I had been really good about putting them in a "safe" place. After fruitlessly hunting for a long time last night I gave up and went to sleep. I found them in the second place I looked this morning after I woke up. Amazing what sleep can do.

Hunting on shelving, through drawers, and through anything I could think
of was fruitless last night. Obviously I needed some sleep to be functional again.

My torch head arrived in the mail yesterday, and I purchased some MAAP gas canisters from my local hardware store so I'm one step closer to playing with fire on my days off again. I have to get going on some repairs first, though. I also spent a couple of hours yesterday making an armature for a possible project. Looking at it with clarity this morning, it is too large. So I must downsize it and I also want to think carefully about whether I want this approach. This is the time to investigate my path for this project, not when I'm in process. So I'll spend the necessary time on the concept before ever threading a needle.

This home near Colorado Springs burned yesterday in one of four
forest fires being fought in Colorado right now. This is the Black
Forest fire just an hour or so south of Denver.

I hope all of my friends have wonderful weather today and that those who are affected by the forest fires in Colorado are safe.
