Our temperatures here continue at least 10 degrees F cooler than normal. Although flowers may be trying to come up, I'm not seeing any of them yet. The snowbanks are half the height that they were a month ago, but the big piles are still shoulder height. My personal Mount Everest which is where my DH pulls the snow down from our roof each year has shrunk, but even though I could no longer walk directly from the pile onto the roof with merely a large step, it is still an impressive height. Since this pile is in an area of the house that doesn't get direct sunlight, it is quite possible that I will still have snow in that corner in late May.
Because I am searching for spring, I'm going to put several flower pictures on this post. Looking at the wonderful colors of flowers is much better than looking at the filthy remnants of formerly pristine snowfalls.
