Today is my studio day and I have my usual long list of things that I want to try and get done. I need to do the budget that I mentioned yesterday - no way around it this time, it has to get done. I will talk with my friend in California late this afternoon, something that I look forward to every week. I would like to phone my friend's widow and find out how she's doing, it's been about two weeks since I last spoke with her, but I can't spare the time for lunch with her today. Maybe I can schedule something for next week. I'm almost finished with a complete "throw everything out except the premise" rewrite of one of my B2ME stories. When I finish this I can add it to my queue for that particular story-line which will leave me with a single story to review before beginning to post this group.
Reviewing and rewriting takes up a good deal of my time since I self-beta. I also beta for an author who lives in Germany. We've been working together for more than two years now and have a very comfortable relationship. I want to get her next chapter beta'ed and sent to her. I want to read...I've been reading through the Nightrunner series and I'm totally in love with her characters. And I want to draw. And I want to work with some glass. And I want to work with a torch and some enamel. And...and...and...well, you get the idea. Can I have TWO days off? No? Darn it all - LOL
I also need to dive back into the research for my original fiction that I want to start writing in November. I really need to make a more detailed outline to make sure that my idea will actually work in a novel length. I am notorious for being a person who writes in shorter lengths and for me to be able to pull out something of 50,000 words will be difficult unless I have a very clear road map of where I begin, where I want to go, and how I want to end. I have a basic outline but I need to do much better than that or this won't happen. Now to get my act together, the trash and recycling gathered, the laundry started, well...you get the idea. I just have to remember to do the budget - the single most important item on my list for today.
