I can offer no reason for the delay in posting today. It's not like I overslept. Indeed, I couldn't sleet well at all, and finally gave up on that after waking up more than eight times between 1:00 and 1:50 am. So, I got up at ten minutes before two and started my day substantially earlier. What did I do? A friend had done me a tremendous favor and edited a story of mine, sending it back for me to look over. So I opened that file and started making corrections and improvements to the flow. I sent it back to her for a final look-through and hit the road by 6:15 am.
I had a long list of errands. 1) Open up the shop - while there I emptied the garbage and took the cardboard out for recycling. 2) I had some time to wait until Target opened at 8am, so I went to Perkins and had breakfast - a potato flip, a potato pancake enveloping scrambled eggs and bacon with a side of fresh fruit. Nummy! 3) 8:00 am - called DH to wake him up, then went to Target. Needed some hair conditioner, toothpaste and other silly things. 4) 8:15 am - crossed the street to get to Staples. Good sale going on - with their instant rebate, got two reams of paper for the shop for 50 cents each! Great deal! 5) 8:30 am - back in the car and heading to the post office to mail two Priority Mail packages. 6) 8:45 am - headed to my accountant's place to hand in an IRS notice about a charge they are assessing in error. I talked to Paul yesterday and he'll handle this for me, so happy, happy. 7) 8:55 am - on to the city Licence Bureau to get the new license tabs for DH's car. 8) 9:15 - Dropped by the local convenience store to get Renaissance tickets for Chickie and Sharon for Labor Day weekend. No luck though, they haven't received their tix yet. No problem, I have time on this one. 9) 9:30 - Home again and catching up on Emails and notifications. First load of laundry is in the washer.
I still have to go to the drugstore and the grocer later today, and I have one more load of laundry to get done. Then I have to clean, clean, clean. And if I can get a short nap in, I'm sure it would be a positive thing. Oy! Too much to do :-)
