What Fun...

Fireworks over the Grandstand.  Want to
see them in action?  Watch the video below.

I haven't had a chance to play with my new camera that much.  While I was at the State Fair last Saturday, I realized that my camera had a separate "Fireworks" setting.  How absolutely perfect!  I adore fireworks, and the State Fair was about to do its' nightly fireworks display.  KISS was the band of the night, and they went on...and on...and on.  It's not that they weren't giving their audience a good show - they were.  They had a good all-around concert and then were called back for an encore.  Then whoever was doing their audience interaction said that they were going to do a great encore - "The Longest Encore Ever!".  It was a long one - at least 30 minutes and more than five songs.  My poor aching feet!

Just a short 30 second video of the
fireworks.  Enjoy!

I posted this video on my Facebook page, but thought I would put it here also.  It's quick - 30 seconds of a small part of the fireworks that night.  I love fireworks - the fact that Gandalf does fireworks for the Hobbits was one of the things that endeared that character to my heart.  Fireworks are joy personified in light and fire.  They bring nothing but joy when they are used properly.  They are exuberence in lights of blue, green, red, gold and white.  Although they are short-lived, their memories live on in the excited comments of both children and adults.  Will your life be remembered as fondly as fireworks are?  Live with passion and it just might be.
