Long Week Ahead

Vacation.  It's a wonderful thing when it is your own, and kindof sucks when it is someone else's.  Since Chickie has vacation this week, I have to work a 6-day shift.  No studio day for me this week.  But, next week I'm taking advantage of my "extra day off" gift that DH gave to me for Yule and I will have two days to myself in a row.  That will make up for my six-days , at least a little bit.

On Labor Day Weekend we attended the Royal Wedding.
Here is the royal couple, King Henry and
Queen Elizabeth after the wedding.  Happy?  It looks like it.

Yesterday turned out to be a fantastic day at the Renaissance Fest.  It started out fully cloudy with temps in the 50's (F) and was only supposed to warm up into the early 60's (f).  We started with very rare short bits of sunshine poking through the clouds.  But by the afternoon, the clouds had disappeared, the sun was out, and it was very comfortable; comfortable enough for me to leave my shawl, gloves and underskirt in the car.  It actually turned out to be a perfect day (except for the poor play of the Minnesota Vikings).  We have two weekends left in the season, "Wine, Chocolate and Romance" and "High Seas Adventure".  It would be so nice if the weather would continue to cooperate.
