Yes I Can....

Many things were waiting for me when I returned from the Bead & Button Show.  My mail was extensive (not as bad as my Email, but still pretty bad).  You would think I was out of touch for several months, not just five days!  Among the envelopes was a wonderfully official one from the IRS.  Now, the IRS and I are not the best of friends, but when they had contacted me earlier this year disputing a $16,000 refund for monies that they had taken in error, I just about hit the roof.  I gathered copies of all of the documentation, wrote a cover letter, and sent off a large packet.  I was assured by my accountant that the IRS never truly looks at what you send and that the next step would be tax court - not really where I wanted to end up even though I was totally in the right on this one.  But the letter awaiting me stated that the IRS was satisfied with the documentation I supplied and that the case has been closed.  Yippee ME!!!!  Once again I have frightened myself with how well I can speak IRS-talk.  It is like another language - certainly doesn't bear a great resemblance to English.
So the LA Lakers pulled off the win last night to win the NBA finals.  I was really hoping that Boston would pull it off, but they fell down on their shot production and LA stepped it up.  It was a great series, though, coming down to the 7th game of 7.
So today I will have to do some beadwork in the early morning instead of spending a couple of hours at my laptop in the shop.  I have a deadline and I have been too tired after my workday to get anything done on the project.  That's a luxury that I simply don't have.  So I need to squeeze in more time so that I can finish this project and get to work on the next deadline.  Deadlines keep me going and on pace, but they can be frustrating as well.
