Good Solstice to all of you. Today marks the official beginning of summer, although our high temps for the past few weeks certainly could have fooled me into thinking we were already in summer. But today is the day that we celebrate the next small step in our earth and the beginning of the season of growth and ripening. Now we can eat well, now we can plant and harvest. Summer is a time for play, a time for exploration, and a time for a lot of deadlines for me...but that's usual - LOL. I am progressing on my BFAC project, but I really have to force myself to work. I did get an hour done yesterday and I will be transporting it back and forth with me daily to work on it in the mornings instead of indulging myself in computer work at night.
Here's a picture of a visitor that was in my front yard yesterday. What amazed me was not so much that I had a deer in my yard as much as it was 12:30 in the afternoon when I saw it. I live in a first-tier suburb and although we have ducks, muskrats and the occasional fox, we usually don't have the larger wildlife in our area. But we have had the deer now, and she was quite pretty. I just hope she is careful when she crosses the street - my street is a busy one and I don't think anyone will be thinking about deer when they are driving to work this close to the city.
