Yesterday's Studio Day was filled with work. I did get great fabric for the lining of the box, and everything I needed for the top. My shipment from Dharma arrived, so I now have my silk painting supplies and material (DH sighed the sigh of the long-frustrated when I received more "stuff"). I haven't had a chance to unpack it yet, probably tonight or Friday. I did get the mock-ups finished so I have final placement for my elements and began the design for the interior trays. I started covering some of the parts and am attempting to discover what, exactly, will be the best material for the ring holders. The experiments are "interesting", but so far aren't really doing what I need. I'll figure it out...
And today is the last day for you to file your income tax returns if you live in the US. We got ours filed in February (for the business) and March (for our personal returns), and after looking at my expenses spreadsheet for 2009, I was allowed to keep a larger portion of our tax refund than my DH had originally planned. But that's my reality - the expenses keep rising and the amounts that he pays me monthly haven't increased for more than five years.
Today's Beading For A Cure auction items are by Barbara Green (top) and Ellen Chasse (bottom). As always, I remind you to visit the auction site by clicking on my link, view the items, and bid (high) on the item(s) of your choice. Your purchase of beauty can help to erradicate the horror of colorectal cancer.
