It Should Exist, Right?

I need wood stain that will give the appearance of Purple Heart on my mahogany wood. Although I spent 20 minutes in on-line searching this morning, the stains that used to be made in exotic wood colors are no longer being made. This is quite frustrating and means that unless I get really lucky and find an obscure source, I will have to settle for honey maple or a similar mainstream color. But purple heart for this project would have been awesome!
Today's Beading For A Cure auction item is by Karen Linheart. That finishes up this week's auction items and lets you see all offerings for the week. Again, I encourage you to bid and bid high. It is money spent that may help save your life someday.
Katie Curic is coming to speak at the University of Minnesota on April 24th. If I could figure out any way to get in touch with her, I would love to make her aware of Beading For A Cure. We have been trying to get her attention for our annual auctions for many years, unsuccessfully. But as much as I try and think of how I might be able to meet her face-to-face, I'm not coming up with a plan. Of course, I'm not a U of M alumni either, and that doesn't help. So the desire is there, but the ability is not. Bummer!
