I've never had a reputation as a great housekeeper. But when the house starts to get on MY nerves, then I know it's bad. I would often just take some time on my Wednesday or my Sunday to do some cleaning (usually on my Wednesday), but I am focused on studio projects and really don't have the time to pull cleaning out. But I need to! Desperately! I need to do a serious vaccuum of the house, and the shower and bathroom need a major scrub. I have no idea how I will fit that into the schedule though. I need to get all of the prep work finished on my BFAC 2011 project so that I can start the final stage - the beadwork itself. I really need a maid, but I don't like strangers in my house, so hiring a housecleaner is out of the question.
The first coat of paint is now on my box and I'll work on some of the interior dividers this morning. I need to have this part of the framework completed before Wednesday, because I need to get one small component purchased and the completed section will give me the absolute size that I need to get. Without the completed section, I won't be able to get the sizing done.
And today's Beading for a Cure auction items are by Marilou Porth (top) and Tess Kuhns (bottom). Marilou holds the distinction of having made the item that brought the top dollars in the history of these auction (and it is my piece - I adore it). That was several years ago and was a bidding war between my friend Beki and me. I won. And Tess Kuhns is the daughter of Jen Kuhns - one of our regular contributors (her item will be up in next week's auction items). The first piece that Tess ever did for us was a beaded Barbie doll, and she has returned to this format with the mermaid that she presents this time. Remember - bid high. Through your bids, you will help to eliminate colorectal cancer.
