I was ahead of schedule when I awakened, and now am a little behind schedule, but I'll put up a quick post before heading out to the swimming pool. Wednesday's intense snowfall dumped a bit more than a foot across the Twin Cities region, although we seemed to be closer to 8-10 inches at the house. Still, it was a lot of snow for the cleanup. DH went out in early afternoon to start snowblowing, and after he warmed back up from that, he went back out to tackle taking the snow off the roof.

Although this isn't DH, it is the brand of snow blower that we have. Once we started using the right gasoline, it worked like a dream. We would have been shoveling for hours without it. |
I went out an hour or so later to help him clear the walkways from the snow. Before our storm the drifts were up to my waist. Now there's actually over my head in some places. It was a LOT of snow. I'm heading in to the shop today and I'll bring my waterproof coveralls along with me. I'll need to shovel out the front walkway of the storefront, and also the back walk (which is short - only the bit between the building and the parking lot). But, with my coveralls on, I won't be full of snow and I'll be much more comfortable.
It's going to be odd to work on a Friday, but I'll manage, I'm sure. DH says he needs to work on the roof again, pulling another foot of snow down, clearing higher to the roofline. Today will be a miserably cold day, however, so I'm glad he got done what he did yesterday. It'll be easier for his body in the extreme sub-zero cold.
So, here's hoping if you got any of this massive storm, that you're safe and warm and curled in to a comfortable place, preferably with a good book. I cooked my tomato and red pepper soup on Wednesday, and yesterday I made my next batch of Ogre Juice (Alkagizer) and a quick roasted butternut squash cubes with maple syrup. I'm set for the next few days of meals. Have an excellent and warm Friday and I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukraini.
