Stay at Home - Day 12

The headline of the morning paper says that our Governor is going to extend our Stay at Home order from the original expiration date of Friday at 5:00 pm to a later date, probably the end of April. OK, great. It's working for us. Our cases are increasing and so are our deaths, unfortunately, but we're not New York. We're a very minor flash in the pan, and people here are, for the most part, obeying the orders to keep Social Distance. It would have been nice to have had a new date though. I could have done new signs for the shop and composed an Email. I'll still do new signs, but I can't really do an email for my customers until I have the new date.

Social Distancing doesn't stop the pandemic, but it
flattens the curve, allowing better use of medical
facilities and personnel and letting everyone get
care that is less rushed.

The St Paul Bridge Fund for business applications will also become available today, but here it is, almost 7:00 am, and no live applications yet. They will only be available on-line, and I'm absolutely fine with that, but I'd really like it if they were already live so that I could start filling one of them out for my little shop. What's the old saying? "The wheels of government move slowly"? I think that's the saying, although I might have paraphrased a bit.

Social Distancing won't last forever, but I suspect
a lot of things might change because of this
pandemic. It will impact our lives from this point
forward.

I have been ground-hogging, though. I've buried myself in my own little cocoon, and haven't really peeked out for much. I'll get the groceries for the week later today, and I'll deal with the grant application paperwork, but I'm not catching up with all of my on-line friends, and I APOLOGIZE! Every one of you are important to me, and I really do need to pull my head out of my shell and catch up on your lives too. That's what friends do.

I apologize for not catching up on your posts and your
lives. They are important to me! I'm WAY behind, though
and may not be able to catch up.

So, as we continue rolling the rock over the cave entrance, I wish all of you a safe day. Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Be Well.
