Stay at Home - Day 11

I had one page to revise and send to my loan officer and that was completed before 9:00 am yesterday. Now that's done. As of 9:00 am yesterday, my Federal loan application was complete and it is now in the hands of whatever Powers That Be. The City grant application for a $7500 grant goes live on Wednesday - my "day off" and a day when I usually have so much to do that spending the day on the computer is really not an option. I can only hope that it's an easy application to fill out and send back to the City. I suspect their servers might crash from the influx of applications.

Hopefully the various grants, etc will come through, but I'm
not getting as much done at home as I had hoped. My "time
off" for Stay-at-Home is ending on Friday night, and I'm
not as far along on home projects as I had hoped to be.

What's funny about the City grant is that it's open for a strict time frame - from April 8 through April 19th at 5:00 pm. If the total applications received by the close date exceeds the available funding, applications will be selected by random lottery and those not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list if more funding becomes available. So ... for this grant, it's a crap shoot, pure and simple.

The City grant is a crap shoot. If I'm not randomly chosen in the
first run, I'll be put on a pending list and if additional funds are
approved, I might get some of the secondary funds.

In the meantime, life goes on. I'm bored, I try to do something productive every day, but I'm not succeeding as much as I had hoped. With all this time off, my house should be sparkling, my Owl Project should be completed, and I should be energized and ready to get back to the shop. "One, two, three strikes you're out", as the song says. (1) My house is getting cleaned, sloooooowly. (2) My Owl Project is next to me and I'm looking at it numerous times every day, but still haven't committed to the final two rows, the back bars and the tie strap. I have time, but I really do need to get going. And, (3) I can say that not being at work has been a relief, even though I'm sitting too much.

Oh well, so it goes on this rainy Tuesday. Have a wonderful day, stay safe, stay home, be well and I'll be back tomorrow.
