Looking Ahead to Fireworks

I'm going to enjoy these last few days before heading into a July filled with doctor and physical therapy appointments. I'm going to finish out June with a bang - looking ahead to the 4th of July. I'm starting to get used to the exercises my PT assigned to me for my shoulder issues, and they do seem to be helping (although it's really only been a single complete day, so I'm probably running a block ahead of myself). The weekend lies directly ahead, and I'm really looking forward to my Sunday, in spite of the prediction of rain.

I love fireworks, although I hate the crowds, so rarely actually
attend fireworks shows any more. Still, I'm sharing fireworks
photos with all of you today in anticipation of our 4th of July
as well as the upcoming Canada Day.

Next week Thursday is the 4th of July. That means I'm actually getting two days in a row off next week - a rarity for me. The weather (so far) is predicted to be rainy on Sunday, but nice for the 4th, so I'm hoping we'll have a nice holiday.

The best part of any fireworks show is the grand finale, when
everything possible is pushed into the skies, to explode in
flowers of light. Beautiful!

My next two weeks, however, are filled with doctor appointments - a physical, a chiropractor appointment, a second PT appointment and an appointment with a hand doctor to look at my palm and determine if a quick surgery would be the thing. I think I'm looking forward to the middle of July a bit more than the 4th - I just have to get through these next two weeks with some style.

The loud bangs echo more over water displays. Although we've had
displays over the Mississippi up here, usually ours are more often
held in parks. This one, at dockside, with those multi-colored
blooms would have been spectacular to watch.

While cleaning and looking for a missing package of ermine tails (never did find the tails, although we have plenty of the full pelts, tails attached), I came across a bag I had labelled to reserve for me. Looking inside I saw multiple strands of fine coral beads. Yippee! I've had a collection of fine coral I've been building for more than 20 years. I've wanted a necklace with some hand-made Milagros that mean things to me for many years. I've been collecting fine coral for more than thirty years to make it. With the strands I found yesterday, I have more than enough to play.

I think this show was held in Florida, although I don't know much
more than that. Such outstanding colors across the
sky in this one - both in the fireworks as well as by the
hand of Mother Nature.

So, I'm off to the gym. Yesterday I was able to do my PT exercises after my regular elliptical and bicycle routine, and I'm going to try that again today. Eventually I'll get used to the three routines that I only do once a day. The 5X per day routine I'm supposed to do is already becoming part of my current thoughts and routines. Have a wonderful Friday and I'll be back tomorrow to celebrate the final Saturday of June.
