Topical Indecision and Resolution

I have less than 30 minutes to get this written, illustrated, and posted. Ooof! I'm not running super late, but I actually catch up on emails, orders, and other basic bookkeeping structures first thing in the morning before settling down to write my blog. The blog is extemporaneous - very much 'off the cuff', and most of the time completely unplanned. So ... what to talk about today? 

I can't seem to decide on a topic for today's blog. 

I'm cold - of course we're having our first "cold" snap and there are months ahead to deal with cold and posts mentioning cold, and ... did I mention cold? Since, in this case cold is relative - it's actually not too bad outside, I suspect my cold is simply me right now. I'll shelve that topic for a time when it truly IS cold. 

I'm not quite at the curling up in a blanket state yet. That will come. 

I'm tired - well, that's rather normal, although I have caught up from my sleepless 4-hour night earlier in the week. I always live my life on fumes. When I die, I want to look back on my life and be happy that I tried to maximize every moment - every opportunity. Of course, that's not possible because even now, as I look back, I see the paths not taken and the choices not made. Feh! 

It's not warm enough to be running the fan (I'm quite
grateful about that since that's uncomfortably hot). 

I'm hot - well, no. That particular topic is dead in the water for months to come, now. We're firmly into fall, the leaves are turning, and a day in the 60's F is a positive and warm temperature. Catch us in July and that 60 F will be considered cool and comfortable, even cold. 

I might be this-and-that, but I'm not quite
at the level of bouncing off the walls. 

I'm alert and bouncing off the walls like a crazy bunny. Hmmm ... although that has possibilities, it also sounds a bit frantic. So no ... I'll just skip that posting topic completely. 

That single kiss just made my day. Now
he's back asleep and I'm wrapping this up.

How about a simple touch of love. DH just got up at 4:00 am to take a quick bathroom break. He walked down two flights of stairs and came into the computer room, kissed me on top of my head, turned back around, left the room and, after climbing back the two flights of stairs, went back to bed. No words, just action, and I'm going to have a really happy glow as I start my day. See? Love truly conquers all. 

Have a great Thursday. I am expecting one item in the mail and then I can start on this year's holiday cards. Decisions were finally made yesterday and my original theme intent of March has shifted into a totally new direction. It's good, though. Meanwhile, I'm wrapping this up and heading out to the swimming pool. Enjoy your day and I'll be back tomorrow.
