Lazy Sunday

Sunday was lovely. It didn't snow - yippee! The Olympics were on - LOTS of curling, ice hockey (Yeah USA!), cross country skiing, ice dancing short original dance, more curling. All good. And my DH and I spent a very long day in front of our computers playing Lord of the Rings Online - our usual Sunday activity. My DH spends a LOT of time with that, I prefer to spend my weekdays working on edits for fan-fic stories, designing projects or working on them, or just reading on my computer. Either way, the computers are on whenever we're not at work and I suspect that's not unusual these days.
But today begins another work week and the final week of the Olympics. I'll be exhausted again - the programming goes too late but there are events that I dearly love still coming up so I'll try to maintain. But here it is, Monday, and I'm already looking forward to my day off and studio day on Wednesday. Pathetic! Ice Dancing is one of my favorite events with the finals scheduled for tonight. The picture above is of Jayne Torville and Christopher Dean who revolutionized ice dancing with their perfect routine at the 1984 Olympics. It was such an amazing routine! And the photo below is a screen shot of the Rivendell valley, featuring the Last Homely House from LOTRO. The atmosphere is a major reason why I play this game - the scenes are spectacular.
I've finished the design for my backplates that I will etch from copper, but I'm very tempted to look into etching silver for one of the enamels. I've never etched silver. I know that it will take a much more powerful etchant, and that's been my hesitation over the years. But I may look into it. For now, however, I think that copper will do. I can always upgrade and the image is on my computer so printing out another copy is not a problem.
