Congratulations to Canada

Congratulations to Canada for their Gold Medal performance in Ice Dancing. The routine was cleanly skated, but, I have to admit that I thought it rather boring. I preferred the other skates from the lower medalists. But the US did well in this, getting Silver and also placing 4th. Very fun and well worth the lack of sleep.

But our curlers! How pathetic! Our skip, John Shuster, can't place a stone properly for love or money. And the women's skip, Debbie McCormick, isn't much better. I compare their poor showing with the beauty and precision of the Canadian, Great Britain and Chinese teams and there is just no comparison at all. What's really sad is that this is the team that is going to the Worlds competition later this year. Let's start a groundswell - Fire John Shuster! (And long live the Norweigian Team's argyle pants. )
