It's 5:15 am on a Saturday. I'm listening to an interview with former Coach Dean Evason, who was fired from the Minnesota Wild hockey team earlier this week, I have my cup of tea on my coaster to the left of my keyboard, I've taken my morning shower, and I'm looking at my Holiday Card Master List. I've got a few names with question marks, and I'll try to contact those people individually to get an updated address, but actually, things are rather in place for the "big push" which is coming up now.
Sometimes is seems like it's a never-ending chore to get deadlines achieved and goals realized. I'm at least determined to get my Holiday Cards out on time. |
I have to work on Sundays for the next three weeks. The hours are short - Noon until 3:00 pm only, but it definitely does punch a hole in the day. Also, since I drive in with DH, I don't get the chance to get a lot of personal work done. So, I'll be trying my best to squeeze everything I still need to get done over the next week. I'm focusing on my overseas cards first - they're the ones that might arrive late, and I'm trying my best to not have that happen.
It's hard to be running late, it's really not something that makes me comfortable. But I'm still within my time frame, so it's all good (so far). LOL |
Still, I'm running late. I started early and I'm running late. I suppose I can blame some of that on DH - his schedule is tied up with closing the shop next year. A schedule I don't agree with since I still think we should have closed this year. But ... he's a stubborn goat. Unfortunately for him, I'm an equally stubborn bull.
Looking over my very messy desktop, I'm seeing two stacks of paper which will be lowered a bit when I get my cards addressed and sent, beads to the left of me that really should be put back down into the craft room, and something that makes me laugh a bit - two wristwatches. Watches that I've bought with the expectation that they would work well for me, be able to be set to the correct time without having to jump through hoops, and would be readable when I'm setting them for my swimming laps. The one I'm wearing fills all of those criteria. The one directly ahead of me was hopeless for my swimming, and the one to the right of me wasn't very readable without my eyeglasses. That (of course - *sigh*) doesn't count the one that I tossed into the garbage because getting the time set on it, let alone being able to work with it, was a hopeless event. Obviously I have a problem - LOL.
So, the interview is wrapping up, and it was a really good one (check out Fox 9 video if you're interested in viewing it), so it's time to plug in my pictures and start my day. I hope all of my readers have a fabulous weekend and I'll be back on Monday. Slava Ukraini and חיים למען ישראל.
