Welcome to December and a month of hurry, hurry and lots of food and many arbitrary deadlines - self-imposed and those of the calendar. For me, it's last days to get Holiday Cards completed and in the mail, as well as Christmas, Hanukkah, Solstice and my DH's birthday. December is a VERY busy month and I'm starting it behind. *sigh*
I'll spend most of today working on some aspects of DH's website (which still hasn't managed to get on-line, very frustrating!). I'll be arranging things, putting in the different photos he wanted, and making sure the photos in his Dropbox files are at a point where they can be shared (securely) with the customer he's asking to look, bid and purchase. I also have to do the grocery shopping and make my Ogre Juice for next week (although I've got that nailed to an hour or so of time after more than two years of practice).
I saw my doctor for my annual "Wellness Check" for us old people, and managed to pass the tests. I also had a run of bloodwork done, and I'm not happy with a couple of the test results. Nothing major at all, just outside of the parameters a little bit. I'll need to figure out how to tweak those numbers, so I'll contact my doctor about those specific aspects on MyChart later today. She's pretty good about getting back to people relatively quickly, so I should have a plan of attack next week. It's probably going to be a little shift in food choices/portions/frequency, and I'll make it work.
I did get my COVID booster while I was there (although she had no luck talking me into the Shingles or Pneumococcal injections). I had actually had two different appointments set up to get my COVID booster, but something came up each time and I had to cancel. So, I took her up on the offer and her nurse was fabulous. My arm is sore, but the actual injection was almost painless. Bravo to Brie - very talented with a needle.
So today will be busy, although most of it will be spent at the computer. If I get DH's stuff completed early, I can start printing out the envelopes for Holiday cards. I'd like to get them printed ASAP. I have enough cards completed right now to allow me to get my overseas cards posted on Wednesday. I really want to get those going. Then I have a little breathing space for the domestic cards. I also have to get Sharon's gift boxed up and sent to her. I hope she likes it (and that she doesn't get several of them from different people), but there are never guarantees with a gift. She can always pass it along to another if she prefers. The gift is in the giving, after that point, it belongs to someone else and they can do what they want with it. So, I'm out of here to start a busy day. Have an excellent Friday and I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukraini and חיים לישראל.
