Water - Hockey Ice, Holiday Cards Snow, and Swimming Pool Efforts

Today is an unexpected swim day for me. On Tuesday, the chlorine levels in the pool required them to not open it for swimming until later in the day, so I shifted my swim schedule over to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday instead. So, I'll be a guppy again today.

I'm really loving the intense workout I'm getting using
my snorkel. I can string together lap upon lap and
never have to worry about catching my breath. It's
a wonderful thing. I can just concentrate on technique
instead of moving my head from side to side.

I'm getting quite comfortable with my snorkel. It really took minimal time to fall in love with it. I'm still mulling end-of-the-lane turns over in my head. I tried one flip turn on Thursday, but it was unsuccessful - certainly ANYTHING but smooth, and resulted in a mouthful of water and almost choking and coughing. So that was a "no go". I'll continue to work on it, but it's a slow process.

When I tried a flip turn wearing the snorkel, I
ended up with a mouth full of water and had to
pull the snorkel off to breathe for the next lap. That's
not correct, so I need to work on that - LOL.

Today is a "day off" and as usual, I have a lot that needs to get done. In the kitchen, I'll be making my "Ogre Juice" for next week. I have the chicken fajitas from Wednesday to take me through meals for a few days, but that's only four meals. I'll think of something - maybe another batch of chili - always good in the cooler months.

It's time for me to start working on the envelopes for
this year's Holiday Cards. Please message me with your
name and mailing address, even if I've been sending you
a card every year for the past 10+ years and you are still
living at the same address. I need to double-check my
master list and make sure it's totally correct and
up-to-date.

I'm putting out my FIRST CALL FOR CARDS. That means, please update me with your current address, even if you've been in the same place for 20 years and get a card from me every year. I need confirmation from my long-time friends, and then I can open it up to new friends. Don't post your address publicly, but send it to me in a Private Message. Quite a few of my long-term friends have moved over the past year, so I'll be updating a lot of addresses.

It's been a New York road trip - the Islanders on Tuesday,
the Rangers last night, and Buffalo tonight. The boys
will only have one day off before Dallas plays here at home,
so it will be a truly exhausting week. They'll be off until
next Saturday, though, so recovery time will be available
... eventually - LOL.

The Wild lost badly in last night's game against the New York Rangers, and they play tonight against Buffalo. Then they'll return home for a big game on Sunday against Dallas at the Xcel Center. That's one of the "Games to Watch This Year" according to the hockey pundits, so I'm already looking forward to it. Between football and hockey, Sunday will be a wonderful day of sports. ... So, I'm out of here. I have to get my act together and make sure I have everything I need for my pool time and my "day off". Have a wonderful Friday, Slava Ukraini and חיים למען ישראל.
