Snow, Reading and Jigsaws - Happy Friday

I'm busy today, but it's cold and I really don't feel like going out much. So I'm going to wait a while before heading to the grocery store, do my shipping ASAP, and return home to hibernate for the rest of the day. It's not even that cold, really. It's currently 26, a vast improvement over yesterday's 6. But because it's warmer, we'll get snow today which means I might be out there shoveling.

Yippee. It looks like the storm is south of us and I may
not have to shovel after all! That would be
wonderful. LOL

Checking the Weather Channel, it looks like snow in my area will be minimal and finished by 11:00 am. I can certainly live with that, and I'll be grateful that most of the snow is hitting south of us.

I always have a book loaded on my phone. I keep a list
of books I buy and load them up, one after the other. I
also use my laptop/tablet to research things when I
need to read things other than novels. I love having a
book at my fingertips at any time.

So, since it's winter and a not of  winter in my household is spent indoors, I'm curious. What do you do for amusement on these long winter nights? I read, of course. I always have a book loaded onto my reading app on my phone. I also spend time (probably too much time) on my computer. But I'm not much of a game player, except, again, on my phone. I'll admit to an addiction - I adore jigsaw puzzles. I solve them on my phone, thus I don't need to muck up serious space in the den or our computer room with a physical puzzle (I go through to many of them anyway - it would be expensive).

I always have a jigsaw puzzle available to keep me
occupied too. I like this program - I've only been playing
it for a couple of months, but it's a good one. They have
two new daily puzzles every day, and their catalog of
puzzles to work through is extensive. You can set the
number of pieces for what makes you comfortable. It's
a win/win for me, at least for now.

I play virtual jigsaw puzzles on my computer too. There are several programs I use - one for my larger computer and a couple for my phone, but the one I've been using on my phone lately is called "Jigsaw Puzzles Epic" and I've been quite pleased with it. Just a suggestion, if any of you, my cyber friends, are also interested in jigsaws.

So, nothing much more for today. I'm sure I had something earthshaking in my deep subconscious, but it's just not coming out to the forefront, so puzzles and Minnesota cold seem to be it. Have an excellent Friday and Slava Ukraini. I'll be back tomorrow.
