Maybe Things Are Working for DW Again - Plans for My "Day Off"

It appears I've got the "Rich Text" option live again and maybe I can post a regular post with photos for my DW friends as well as my LJ friends. I'm certainly going to try, at any rate. When I checked late last night, I still couldn't access it, but this morning seems to be fine (although my internet gateway guard is giving me an orange instead of a green, so internet might be iffy). In any case, it's a "day off" which is filled with errands and chores, so I'll be a busy person today. If I can just get this posted, I'll be starting the day out well. Of course, Live Journal is once again insisting that I post using their new version. I just can't win!

I really hate it when my internet gateway is
shining orange instead of green. I'm not sure
why, though. I went on to the phone app, and
I'm not showing anything that would cause this.
Argh!!!

I'm not sure I like my new scale. It's weighing me heavier (still well within my parameters, but on the upper end instead of the lower). Then again, as yesterday's post described, "winter weight" is definitely a "thing" in this region, and Winter Is Coming. We've had some beautiful autumn days, and the trees are brilliant mixes of gold and scarlet - the BEST thing about living in the Frozen Northlands. The maple trees (and we have a LOT of maple trees up here) are dressed in their finest russet gowns for the final dance of the season.

The scale is very light-weight, much lighter than
my previous one. It weighs quickly too. But
if I'm truly weighing what it says, I need to
drop three pounds, and that's hard to do at
this time of the year.

I'll do my usual - start the day out by my first load of laundry, then go to the swimming pool. After a quick breakfast, I'll head to the grocery store - probably only one store today, but that's still to be determined. I have a stack of bills here in front of my keyboard that have to be paid today, and I think I might make another batch of chili - it's nice to have that in reserve for a meal. That means I need a pound of ground beef and an onion. I think I have all of the other ingredients in my pantry already.

In the winters, I love multi-bean chili. One batch can
work for four meals, and it's very tasty. I might mix
up a batch today. Ir's not very labor-intensive, and
I'm very used to the recipe. Some fresh mushrooms
and a pound of ground beef and I'm in business. I've
already got the beans in my pantry.

So, I'm going to try some pictures and see if I can actually post the way I like posting to Dreamwidth and LiveJournal. I've got my next book loaded onto my headphones, and the weather should be great, so maybe I can take some autumn photos for you before the trees all shed. Then again, with yesterday's winds and cold weather, a lot of them may already have blown down their leaves. Have an excellent Wednesday and I'll be back tomorrow.
