It Might Be A Busy Day, Or I Could Spend It Watching Workshops and Knitting

I'm not really sure how I can be running late on a day off when it's only 6:10 am, but I am ... running late, that is. Although this is a day off for me, I have a full schedule of things I need to do. The major thing is seriously looking at whether I could remove and clean the dryer duct myself. I actually have a guy scheduled for next Friday to do that, but if I can manage it on my own, I can probably get the dryer fixed without expenditure and much more timely. I'll at least take a good, careful look at it today. I know that getting the duct to climb up the wall and into the ceiling joists to join the exterior valve is extremely difficult and DH wasn't happy when he had to do it the last time.

Looking at the duct as it snakes
towards its' outlet, you can start
to get a feel for why I'm willing
to pay someone else to deal with
getting it down, cleaned and
replaced. I'll have to clean and
move the shelf before next
Friday, but that's relatively easy
to do.

I also have a 10:00 o'clock Master Class on my computer for a different look at financial acumen. The presenter is a Japanese man with a very different outlook on money and how it can cause actions and temperaments. It's free, and sounded interesting, so I'll invest an hour with Ken Honda.

I have a 10:00 am Master Class with Ken Honda, a very
prolific Japanese author whose books focus on finance
and the Zen of money. I expect it will be quite interesting
to hear his views, so I'm looking forward to it.

I would also love to get those sweater sleeves pulled and turned. With all of the laundry issues on Wednesday, I didn't get an opportunity to work on it at all. It's not a complicated thing, but I have to be cautious when removing the stitching. I don't want to be dropping stitches at this point in the project. Still, I put the darned sleeves on backwards because I wasn't using my brain. That won't wash either, as the saying goes.

All told, although I love Summer, sitting on my patio and
relaxing on my Sunday afternoons, I enjoy Winter a lot
too. It's nice to feel cozy in bed in the morning, and appreciate
a hot shower. I have appropriate winter clothing, so going
outside, especially on sunny Winter days, is no problem.
Both seasons have their delights.

We were actually above zero when I awakened this morning. It's almost a heat wave - LOL. Well, not really, but a girl can dream. It's hard to believe the same room that I swelter in during the summer is the one in which I shiver in the winter. Of course, I can always layer clothing in the winter. It's impossible to remove skin in the summer.

On that note, I'm out of here. Have an excellent Friday and please, be kind, stay safe and wear your mask. I'll be back tomorrow.
