It's 6:30 am and I've already fast-walked 1-1/2 miles on the treadmill, washed a load of laundry that's now in the dryer, taken a shower, put the trash and recycling bins out to the curb and set up my knitting machine for a serious day's work. I still have to get to the grocery store and office supply store, hopefully fairly early, and I want to drop by Joann's Fabrics for more of one type/color of yarn that I want to use for a sweater for myself. There's this pattern that's been sitting on my brain and I want to give it a go. However, if I don't get to Joanne's today, it's not a problem. I still have holiday gifts to knit before I can indulge in personal projects.

There are times when I feel like a rat in a maze, trying hard to find the way out, but being stymied by dead ends everywhere I turn. |
DH wanted the Minas Morgul expansion for his account on Lord of the Rings Online, so I told him I would get it for him for one of his holiday gifts. Since the sale ends shortly, we took care of that last night, so now he's set. His download code came through this morning and I printed it out for him. All he needs to do is enter the code and the new software will update on his account. One gift nailed (many more still to go).
Normally I would be able to get a bit of work done on holiday gifts on my Sundays, but I work on December Sundays, so that pokes a HUGE hole in my day. One Sunday down, two still to go. I really hate working these six-day weeks. DH keeps (conveniently) forgetting about the fact that he has promised me my Fridays off starting in January. Forgetting isn't going to work for me ... I'll be insisting on it, and I'm reminding him of it frequently too. I don't want to hear any "I don't know," or "I forgot," coming from him on this.

Once I start getting my Fridays off, I'll be doing the happy dance every week. I'll finally have more than three hours in a week to be able to work on my own projects. |
So, today's post is short and sweet. Lots on my agenda today and I want to get Sharon's gift completed and ready to send out to her. With shipping the way things are, I don't want it to arrive late. Have a wonderful day, be kind, stay safe and please wear your mask. I'll be back tomorrow.
