I suspect tomorrow will be work on the woodshed again. We need to get a roof onto the first section and the roofing rafters, etc onto the second. I'll be helping as I can all day, but we'll get whatever we can going while the weather holds. He picked up the roofing paper, shingles and drip guards yesterday at Menard's, so we're ready to go.
DH got the second part of the woodshed framed out on Thursday and Friday. Now he's working on drainage around them so that the pylons stay firm and immobile. He says each pylon is on at least three feet of class 5 gravel for stability, but having things shift in a hard rain is his nightmare. Once the structure is completely built, he might be able to relax a bit. He's planning on grading and putting river rock all around the woodshed to help water sluice by easily, without disrupting the shed.
When he wasn't busy with the real life build-out, he was busy trying to light and furnish his new houses in Lord of the Rings Online. I think he only worked on his Kingstead house yesterday, and it's almost complete. I, on the other hand, was at work, so I didn't have a lot of time to spend. When I could, I worked on both of my houses, putting in lighting, some minimal furniture, and working on the exteriors with additional trees and some placement of items such as shields and spears (and my large swan fountain, which is really a wonderful thing). I wanted to add screen shots to today's post, but it's night in Rohan right now and night shots rarely work well. I'll try to get some to share for next week.
I spent last night, while he was watching sports of some kind (don't remember if it was hockey or baseball), culling through the lists of house furnishings available and figuring out what I want to "buy" in-game. I have a rather extensive list now, I'll probably need a second large housing carryall for all of that stuff - LOL. I'll be traveling from the snows of Suri-Kyla to the forests of Lothlorien to gather the items I want for my houses. I also want to make sure I leave some room for trophies yet to come, but I have a frost dragon just waiting for space. I think I'll put it into my mountain home - it's the perfect place for one.
On that note, have an excellent weekend. Providing I don't crush us with mishandled plywood, I'll be back on Monday. Be safe, stay well, and please, wear a mask.
