Today starts off with my final appointment with my podiatrist to make sure my bones are healing appropriately. The swelling is decreasing, but not fast enough for my taste. Still, when I think back on how incapacitated I was after breaking all those bones on May 1st, and where I am now, two-and-a-half months later, it's night and day. I can't dance yet (although I'm not sure I ever truly could), but I'm almost back to normal. I still am hesitant on steps sometimes, but that's understandable. Now to work on getting back into good physical condition - this stay-at-home weight has GOT to leave.
DH went shopping yesterday morning (he usually does a trip on Monday mornings for this and that). He noticed they had my favorite brand of chicken on sale, so picked up a pack for me. For some unknown reason, he didn't get the sale price on it and didn't realize it until he was looking over the bill later. I'll take the bill with me on Wednesday when I do the weekly household shopping and raise a fuss. It seems a bit silly for a $5-$6 saving, but it's the principle of the thing.
I'm happily playing my way through Midsummer Festival on Lord of the Rings Online. The event starts out with the wedding of Aragorn and Arwen on Midsummer, and continues with various events (challenges) throughout Minas Tirith and the Banquet Hall. Be warned, if you haven't entered LOTRO for Fest yet, the wedding and subsequent mandatory banquet interactions will take you approximately one hour. Afterward, you're only dealing with the Festival itself, which I have down to approx 35 minutes for each character. It only goes through the 20th, so the clock is ticking.
So, since it's going to be a busy and very scheduled early morning for me, I'm going to sign off here and call it done. I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with good news from my podiatrist and a clean slate for final recovery. As always, stay safe and be kind.
