Random Thoughts on a Warmer Autumn Day

It's nice to have a little more time to pound out my blog this morning. Usually I have approximately half an hour to compose, populate with photos, and post my blog each morning after I've finished catching up with my emails. That's not a lot of time and I'm totally off-the-cuff most mornings - totally stream of consciousness on the electronic page.

Usually my morning blogs are totally stream of consciousness -
off the cuff without any real plan or subject. Of course there
are exceptions - Tour de France and Project Runway being
regularly scheduled events for discussion.

Today starts with an appointment with my Physical Therapist, and it's also a "no gym" day, so I have an extra half hour of breathing and thinking room. Hmmmmm .... this could be a vocabulary disaster. Maybe I work better with less time to think?

It's no heat wave, it's totally below freezing, but the difference
between yesterday's 5 F and today's 20 F is rather monumental.

One thing I do know for a fact - it's a relief to see that my outdoor temps are 20 F today instead of the 5 F they were at this time yesterday. We're heading back into normal autumn temps and our snow will become rain. We might, with a lot of luck, be able to get the fallen leaves raked up - at least from the front yard. I think DH will try to work on that on Saturday.

It's rather like I'm going to be searching for lost treasure, today. I need
to find those inks, and I'll turn the house upside-down to find them.

I have a full schedule today - PT, errands, then working at home to seriously FIND those damned Distress Inks. I need a quick run to Michael's for some ribbon, and I have to get backing attached to the stamps I'm using for the interior of my holiday cards. I wanted to start stamping the inside yesterday, but it won't work without a thicker stamp. No problem, I have the materials to do this, I just need to make sure it happens. Today!

Winter Solstice is one of my favorite times of the year. The longest
night is followed by the shortest day, and then we begin that long
climb back up to sunshine, warm temperatures, and lots of flowers. All
seasons hold their beauty, but I love the promise given by the Winter
Solstice.

Still - I'm trucking along doing the best that I can while the clock continues clicking down towards Solstice. I'm still hoping to get my cards out long before then, but that's my hard deadline. On this note, I'm going to take advantage of an early morning and pull out the materials I need for backing my stamps. Have an excellent Wednesday and enjoy your day! I'll be back tomorrow for another "warm" day in the Frozen Northlands.
